Our Story
Rooted in Passion for Holistic Care
It all began with a simple idea among friends - healthcare should be more than just treatments and diagnoses. We dreamt of a space where care goes beyond the conventional, blending compassion with comprehensive wellness strategies. That dream is now what you know as Integra Physio, a clinic where every patient's journey is at the heart of what we do.

Carol Horii
CPTBC Registration #00270 / MSP #41376
Physiotherapy
Carol was born and raised in Vancouver. She graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1983 with a Bachelors Degree in Rehabilitation Medicine (in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy). For over 30 years, she worked primarily in the public rehabilitation setting with older adults (aged 55+), helping her clients manage chronic or recurring conditions, or recover from surgery (particularly hip, knee, foot/ankle) or traumatic injuries.
As a firm believer in life-long learning, Carol has completed an extensive list of post-graduate courses. She has taken a strong interest in the works of Diane Lee and Dr. Linda-Joy (LJ) Lee, which emphasize a whole-body approach to assessment and treatment. In 2014, Carol graduated from LJ’s course, “The Thoracic Ring Approach & The Integrated Systems Model” (which has since evolved into the now-called ‘ConnectTherapy’ courses). The techniques, developed by LJ, aim to find the ‘Driver’ and treat the whole person. This begins with a detailed discussion of a patient’s history followed by a thorough head-to-toe examination. (For more information, please go to the links, Connect Therapy™ and the-thoracic-ring-approach™.)
When not working, Carol dabbles in jewelry making and various sports, and revels in the company of family (including her husband and 2 sons) and friends. She has very fond memories of travelling, scuba diving trips, and competitive ballroom dancing.
Emily Chen
CPTBC Registration #10562 / MSP #44782
Physiotherapy
Emily completed her Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy at the University of Toronto in 2020. She has worked in the public health sector to progress the strength and mobility of those acutely ill, as well as in the rehabilitation of people with acquired brain injury. She had the pleasure to work with an excellent interdisciplinary team for people with chronic pain in her undergraduate years, leaving her with a foundation in pain science and the distinct awareness that treating one part of one’s system often isn’t enough.
Emily recently completed the ConnectTherapy™ (Dr. LJ Lee) Series and is dedicated to assessing and treating the whole person. From a whole body assessment, to a tailored exercise regime with hands-on therapy, Emily is excited to help you move better.
When not working, Emily enjoys spending time with her family and planning the next small hike somewhere out in the beautiful outdoors of British Columbia.

His treatment interventions involve a varying combination of hands-on manual therapy techniques, patient education, therapeutic exercises, and/or intra-muscular stimulation (IMS)/ dry needling in order to meet individual specific needs. CPTBC Registration #06815 / MSP #50387
Physiotherapy, myoActivation®
Margherita graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2008 and went on to obtain her Masters of Physical Therapy in 2010 from the University of British Columbia.
Always looking to further her education and professional development she has gained a wide range of skills that have allowed her to develop her unique and individualized approach to client care. This includes specific training for treatment techniques including acupuncture, Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS), and vestibular rehabilitation for treatment of dizziness and vertigo.
The game changer for Margherita was in 2014 when she was introduced to Connect Therapy (LJ Lee) and The Thoracic Ring Approach (LJ Lee). Connect Therapy is a clinical model that involves whole body assessment to determine the underlying cause for pain or dysfunction allowing for a more specific, patient-centred treatment plan. In 2017, after completing the Connect Therapy Series and associated courses (2014-2016) Margherita was accepted in to the year long Connect Therapy Practitioner Certification Program where she is excited to receive further clinical mentorship and to enhance her skills to the next level. She is also a teaching assistant for the Connect Therapy Series and the Sports Thorax courses in Vancouver, BC.
Margherita is constantly amazed by the design of the human body and with what it can achieve. She is passionate about helping people to create a more positive experience within their bodies – in how they move and in how they feel.
Tim Muller
CPTBC Registration #08246 / MSP #86414
Physiotherapy, myoActivation®
I grew up in The Netherlands where I completed my Physiotherapy education. I have been working as a physiotherapist since 2003, practicing in the Netherlands and working in different settings including professional sports, hospital rehabilitation, elderly care, and private practice.
Since moving to Canada in 2014 my caseload has primarily focused on chronic and complex pain. Making a positive change in patients’ lives and helping them feel the difference is very rewarding. When working with patients I enjoy the challenge and “puzzle” of figuring out what is driving pain. The primary focus in my treatments is treating the cause of the problem instead of the symptoms. I use a combination of manual therapy and dry needling within the ConnectTherapy™ and Thoracic Ring Approach™ (Dr. LJ Lee) and I have found this very effective, rewarding, and inspiring.
Please feel free to reach out to Tim directly at tim@integraphysio.ca for any inquiries or assistance you may require from him.
